Pageant Introduction

Richard Anthony of SinCity Pageantry Systems is pleased to present the National Preliminary Pageant in Nevada for Miss SinCity USofA. The pageant will be held every year in SinCity itself, Las Vegas, Nevada. This is a direct entry to the Miss Gay USofA Pageant held in Dallas, Texas.

Below you will find all the information you need regarding pageant guidelines, requirements and rules. Please be sure to read all this information completely and carefully.

Please Note: The theme for Presentation is “Presentation in Red”. This category will be a simple parade of the contestants in their best red apparel and will not be judged towards selecting the winner of the contest but will be awarded what is referred to as the "promoters choice award".

Miss SinCity USofA and USofA at Large 2007

General Rules & Regulations

Miss SinCity USofA: January 20th - 21st, 2007

1. Miss SinCity USofA Contestants must be males who will be 21 by January 20th, 2007.

2. Judging for this preliminary pageant will be on a total points accumulated system. This preliminary pageant will be scored using the standard USofA comparative scoring system. Any ties will be broken by the contestant with the highest talent score.

3. Contestants will be judged in the following categories:

• Personal Interview

• Talent

• Evening Gown

4. Talent presentation will be limited to seven (7) minutes. Prop set up and knock down time will be limited to five (5) minutes total. Talent presentation will be timed at rehearsal. Presentations over seven (7) minutes will have administrative points deducted.

5. Any type of talent presentation is acceptable, except those that may cause injury to the audience or any other person. No excessive glitter, fire or water may be used in any talent presentation. No live animals or reptiles may be used in talent presentation. Music must be turned in on CD. You should have your talent number recorded as Track 1 of your CD and your crown number on Track 2 of the same CD. Do not place any other music on this CD. You may not use commercial CD’s that have multiple tracks.

6. The use of, or dispensing of illegal drugs or marijuana will not be tolerated while a contestant is participating in the Miss SinCity USofA pageant. Immediate disqualification will result for those that break this rule.

7. Any contestant that is not in the appointed place at at the appointed time will lose administrative points.

8. Any contestant, contestant’s dancer(s), helper(s), etc. who is/are caught in the act of stealing or tampering with another person’s possessions will be immediately disqualified and removed from the location of the pageant.

9. Only contestants will be allowed entry without paying a cover charge at the door.  Back-up personnel and dressing assistants must pay the cover charge and present valid photo ID at the door. Please bring your valid photo ID.

10. SinCity Pageantry Systems reserves all rights.  SinCity Pageantry Systems reserves the right to make any decision concerning any matter not covered by these rules and regulations.

11. Any contestant, who has qualified to attend the Miss Gay USofA National Pageant and fails to attend, may not compete in any USofA Pageant Preliminary for one year.

12. The official USofA Pageantry System does not discriminate against entertainers who use silicone and/or hormones. The use of silicone and/or hormones will not be considered by any judge in the scoring of contestants.
 

Miss SinCity USofA 2007

General Information

Miss SinCity USofA: January 20th - 21st, 2007

The pageant will be held on Saturday & Sunday, January 20th & 21st, 2007 at Krave Las Vegas, 3663 S. Las Vegas Blvd. #600, Las Vegas, Nevada. Rehearsal for the contestants will be at 3 pm on Sunday, January 21st, 2007 at Krave Nightclub.

Entry Fee is $100.00 if paid by January 10th, 2007. After January 10th, entry fee is $125.00. Payment will be accepted in cash (do not mail cash), money order or cashier’s check. No personal checks accepted.

Entry Fee and application may be mailed to the Pageant Owner/Promoter, Richard Anthony, 4574 Sheri Lyn Court, Las Vegas, NV 89121. Please include a photo with your application and entry fee.

Registration will be held on Friday, January 19th, 2007 from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm. At this time contestants will be assigned their numbers and will turn in applications and entry fees if they haven’t done so already. At this time contestants will also fill out their evening gown cards and turn in their music.

Personal Interviews will be held Saturday, January 20th at 4pm at the Krave Nightclub. The nature of the interview is intended to be casual and relaxed. The suggested attire for interview is casual daywear.

Evening gown cards will be provided at registration and will require the name and number of the garment designer along with the name and number of the hair and jewelry designers.

The Miss SinCity USofA Pageant will begin promptly at 10:00 pm. Doors will open at 9:00 pm. Contestants should arrive 15 minutes prior to doors opening so as to be admitted prior to 9:00 pm.

There will be  "Presentation in Red” Presentation, Talent and Evening Gown Categories.  The "Presentation in Red" category will be a simple parade of the contestants in their best red and will not be judge towards choosing the winner of the contest but will be awarded what is referred to as the "promoters choice award".

Any contestant that qualifies to compete at USofA National Pageant by winning or being the First Alternate at a USofA Pageant's State or Regional Preliminary Pageant and does not attend the respective National Pageant will be banned from competing in any USofA Pageants franchised local, city, state, regional or national pageant. The contestant will be banned until they have paid back the state or regional promoter all prize money dispersed and returned the crown and any other awards. In addition, the banned contestant must pay the National Promoter the $125.00 fine for not attending. Once they have paid all applicable fees, and returned all prizes packages, they may be removed from the banned list. In no case may a contestant be removed from the banned list until one year has passed from National Pageant that they failed to attend. Any variations from this policy must be approved by the National Promoter for the systems involved.

Miss SinCity USofA 2007

Prize Packages

Winner: Over $2,700.00 in cash and prizes!
$1,000.00 ($500.00 to be given the night of the pageant, and $250.00 at Nationals in the form of Cash, and $250.00 held until step down)
Sash, Crown/Medallion, Flowers, Category Awards, Round-trip airfare for National Competition, Hotel Accommodations during National Competition.  Four (4) bookings at Krave Nightclub in Las Vegas paying $150.00 per appearance.

1st Alternate: $200 Cash at Nationals/Entry Fee to National Pageant
Entry Fee to Miss USofA Pageant

2nd Alternate: $100.00 Cash to be given the night of the pageant.
